| | It has been a real stressful but rewarding week for me. Basically took over the responsibility of the senior on the job and got to attend a 'closing meeting', where our audit team led by the partner-in-charge discusses with the client on how the audit went, any issues that came up, things to change etc. etc.
Man, what an experience it was. Although all I did was sat there, write notes and smile with the most 'leng chai' smile I can come up with, it was an awesome feeling. What more when the introductory statement was made about how smooth the audit went this year and how the client would love for me to come back on the job next year. Complimenting me is one thing, I always accept it with a humble thank you and a 'thank you God' in my heart. But complimenting me in front of the partner, I just got red-faced with a loud 'you are super amazing God' inside.
To cap off this satisfying week, Ying Swan texted me to tell me she saw my 'leng chai' smile on:

Right now I am going, 'God, the glory is all yours'.
I know it will be a stressful period for many who will be applying for jobs but just keep persevering and maintain a positive attitude. Interviewers can always detect the positivity in a person.
If I can motivate you with my own story, I was actually part of the 'backup batch' that got recruited to join EY - many would have heard how X rejected me on the very last minute just to get a phone call the same day from EY to attend an interview the next day. And the rest is history. So, keep the faith and you will also be rewarded. If you need a prayer, give me a shout out and I would be delighted to say one for you :)

P/S: On another note, someone mentioned to me that I look similar to Norman Wong (for those of you from Auck Uni studying business, you should know who I am talking about).
P/SS: You have every reason to join EY coz it is such a fantastic firm, and I am not saying that to get brownie points.
